what's with the bird theme?

i wrote an anthology! it was technically for school, but it was an independent study so

Wings: a Field Guide (working title) is an anthology in the style of a field guide of birds. A parroting parakeet, a girl that is a vulture, a un-biological canary– the type of bird varies, the world changes, but throughout it are flapping wings, a butterfly across the universe. Perhaps like chicken, in their permanence.

Wings contains 6 pieces, all of which are posted here on the writing page: parakeet, robin, canary, chicken, vulture, and of a feather. you can read them in any order, but if you're looking for a starting point, my personal favorite is vulture. check them out on the writing page!
